About
Alex Freedland-Wolford is an undergraduate at UCLA majoring in Psychobiology and Spanish. Her ultimate goal is to attend medical school and pursue a specialty in pediatrics, neurology or obstetrics and gynecology. She has always been fascinated by neurodegenerative disorders, mental health and alternative holistic approaches to medicine. During her time in the Vossel lab she is thrilled to explore the extent to which music therapy can be used to alleviate Alzheimer’s symptoms and restore cognitive function as well as gaining firsthand clinical research experience. In her free time, Alex loves surfing, playing piano, reading, traveling, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.
