Clinical Research Coordinator
The Clinical Research Coordinator will assist the Principal Investigator, on clinical research in neurodegenerative disease. The Coordinator will enroll study patients in the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC), a large observational study designed to develop biomarkers and novel therapies for neurodegenerative disease, as well as investigation on seizures and network hyperexcitability in Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. Clinical procedures include cognitive testing, advanced brain imaging (MRI, PET), and advanced neurophysiological recordings (magnetoencephalography and EEG) in patients with neurodegenerative diseases and epilepsy.

Post-Doctoral Scholar
Dr. Keith Vossel, a Professor of Neurology and Director of the Mary S. Easton Center for Alzheimer’s Disease Research at UCLA, is seeking highly motivated applicants interested in a Postdoctoral Scholar position to investigate disease mechanisms in mouse models of Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases, as well as human studies. This position offers training in cell and molecular, neural network, and behavior relationships in mouse models of AD and opportunities to interface with a translational group bridging bench discoveries with human clinical trials. Dr. Vossel's laboratory studies mechanisms and novel treatments for seizures and related memory loss in mouse models of Alzheimer's disease. In tandem, Dr. Vossel's clinical studies investigate network hyperexcitability in Alzheimer's disease and related disorders, and include clinical trials of anti-seizure drugs to treat Alzheimer's disease-associated network hyperexcitability (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT02002819). Dr. Vossel has been recognized for excellence in mentoring and has sponsored fellowship awards from the NIH and American Academy of Neurology.
Senior Lab Scientist
The UCLA Easton Center for Alzheimer's Disease Research is looking for highly motivated applicants in a Senior Researcher position to investigate mechanisms and novel therapies for neurodegenerative diseases. In addition to the responsibilities of the Lab Scientist below, this position requires the person to be willing to lead and manage projects with a team of other scientists.

Lab Scientist
The UCLA Easton Center for Alzheimer’s Disease Research is looking for highly motivated applicants interested in a Researcher position to investigate mechanisms and novel therapies for neurodegenerative diseases. Our laboratory studies mechanisms and novel treatments for seizures and related memory loss in mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease. In tandem, we conduct clinical studies to investigate network hyperexcitability in Alzheimer’s disease, and include clinical trials of anti-seizure drugs to treat Alzheimer’s disease-associated network hyperexcitability. In this role, you will conduct a broad array of experiments including cell and molecular, neural network, and behavior relationships in mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease. The Researcher is critical to manage mouse colonies, breedings, and cohorts. Interface with a translational group bridging bench discoveries with human clinical trials and prepare research findings at scientific conferences and assists with preparing manuscripts for publication.
