Michael is a Clinical and Research Fellow in Geriatric Psychiatry and Neuromodulation working in both the Vossel lab and the UCLA Neuromodulation Division. He completed medical school, psychiatry residency, and his MSc in Clinical Research at UCLA.  His ongoing clinical work at both UCLA and the West Los Angeles VA are in keeping with his passion for supporting patients with cognitive impairment and their families (which he developed through his work with the UCLA Alzheimer's and Dementia Care Program before medical school).  His ongoing research work examines the use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS, a tool often used to treat depression) as a treatment for memory loss in Alzheimer’s Disease, and he currently leads the PROMIS-AD study piloting this novel TMS protocol.
